1. About these terms

These Terms of Use govern your access to GottaMeme at gottameme.com. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

GottaMeme currently provides browser-based meme editing, template downloads, AI-assisted caption suggestions, and AI-generated original visuals. No account or paid subscription is currently required.

2. Free use and limits

Manual meme editing and downloads are currently available without a GottaMeme watermark. Anonymous visitors currently receive up to 10 AI caption generations and 2 AI visual generations per UTC day.

We may adjust free limits, features, models, or availability to protect the service, control costs, or improve the product. Displayed limits in the product are the current limits.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use GottaMeme to break the law, violate another person's rights, distribute malware, exploit minors, create non-consensual sexual material, impersonate others deceptively, or harass people. You may not bypass quotas, automate abusive requests, probe the service, or interfere with its security or operation.

We may block requests, restrict access, or remove functionality when we reasonably believe the service is being abused.

4. Your content and prompts

You remain responsible for images, captions, prompts, and other material you provide or create. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to use that material.

Images uploaded through the local editor are processed in your browser for editing and downloading. Text or image prompts submitted to AI features are sent to our AI service providers solely to generate the requested result and operate abuse protections.

5. Templates and third-party rights

Meme templates may depict third-party characters, people, photographs, trademarks, or other protected material. GottaMeme does not grant ownership of third-party material or guarantee that every use is permitted in every country or context.

You are responsible for considering copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, fair-use, and platform rules before publishing or commercially using a meme.

6. AI-generated results

AI results can be inaccurate, inappropriate, repetitive, or similar to existing material. Review every result before using or sharing it. We do not guarantee originality, ownership, legal clearance, accuracy, or suitability for a particular purpose.

7. Availability and warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, permanent storage, or that downloaded output will meet every platform's requirements.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GottaMeme will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising from use of the service.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the product changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
